An exquisite early 20th Century German Globe and Pencil holder

$229.00
Petite in size, grand in effect ! This little Globe includes a retractable system to which a pencil can be attached. Yes! It is functional! Mounted onto a very heavy metal base with chrome finish and linoleum base. Marked made in Germany on the base, also KIMA and the initials DRGM. Germany was the largest Tin Toy maker in the world from the mid 1800's until the Great War and even post then. Its export status was equivalent to China today (to place it in perspective). Quite an amusing and intriguing little globe. The lithographed tin toy displays Congo Staat, which would place this piece pre-1908. It also displays the Russian, Austro Hungarian, Turkish and Chinese Empire. $229 — Item : KS411NOV - SOLD
