The Bauhaus Style, also known as Mid Century Modern and Eames, emerged in the early 1900’s in Berlin. After relocating to Weimar the school became the Bauhaus School of Design, Because of it’s progressive style and free thinking pupils, it was considered an enemy of the state. Shut down by the German Regime, the influence of the movement still lasted several decades. As matter of fact, the style has once again has regained popularity.
The globe has the perfect desk top size with a diameter of about 13 inches and total height of 19 inches. A very crisp and detailed map with minor scuffing throughout and an exceptionally well preserved mount make this globe an excellent conversation starter.
