A stunning 1901 (dated) C.
Adami tableglobe with an ebonized and baluster turned
column and plinth base.
It offers a beautiful warm
patina and is a highly desirable collector’s piece
as it had been refined by Heinrich Kiepert. Kiepert,
the “Wunderkind” of mapmakers in his time,
was well known for his incredible refined cartographic
skills and is to this day highly appreciated in collectors
circles.
The most current sales of a
similar model is recorded to be at Christie’s
South Kensington, November 2001. The globe fetched a
winning bid of 2100 British Pounds, plus buyers premium.
Please note as of 1996 every Kiepert Globe offered at
public auctions has sold at a minimum of 1100 British
Pounds.

There are scattered scuffs and abrasions and light surface
cracking. Base with some abrasions and wormholes.
