A petite Cram’s 9 inch globe with a unique mounting and political important display and in nearly perfect condition.

A Cold War Relic itself, the map of this globe speaks of a politically very intense time line, 1961. It shows the short lived United Arab Republic, a Union between Egypt and Syria that lasted for only 4 years (1958-61).

The globe itself is made of pasteboard with a hollow orb; mounted onto a metal modern mid century styled base in a unique matte gold finish.

Near perfect! No scuffing and very minimal soiling, one wrinkle. Colors are brilliant, details crisp. On the mounting some of the color has chipped off.

The age of the globe has been identified by the political borders displayed: UAR is visible (1958-61), all colonies in Africa have ceased to exist as such (1960).
