A fine and large example of superb
craftsmanship with beautiful and well preserved coloring.
Each color identifies a colonist nation and their conquered
territories throughout the world. Superb attention to detail
by the globe maker is evident throughout the map. A truly
superb masterpiece when it comes to globe making. The mounting
also shows fine artistic skill with a turned fruitwood base
in a warm blond finish. Ocean currents in finely printed
parallel lines. Note the functional compass in the foot
of the base.

to a turned fruitwood base in a warm blond finish with integrated
compass. Approx 22” Tall and 12” Diameter.
In good condition with age appropriate
wear. Some scuffs and abrasions to mapping with only minimal
nicks to wooden base. Wrinkled mapping to the south west
of Hawaii from old impression though no indention is visible.
The age of the globe has been identified
by the political borders displayed: Austrian empire is visible.
Persia, St Petersburg are displayed. German colonies present
in Africa as well as the Congo State. Panama is independent
